Intratumoral administration enables local drug delivery and low systemic toxicity. • Injectable hydrogels are minimally invasive and promote drug retention in tumors. • Hydrogels may undergo phase transition or structural change in response to stimuli. • Stimuli are exogenous (light) or endogenous triggers in the tumor microenvironment.

Versatile nano-carriers 31 Dec 2019 for stimuli‐responsive drug release. In this review, three popular strategies to design and synthesize polymer‐based stimuli‐responsive The first part covers the design of stimuli-responsive drug delivery systems based on internal stimuli, namely pH and redox agents, to trigger the drug release. 17 Oct 2018 Stimuli-Responsive Nano-Architecture Drug-Delivery Systems to Solid Tumor Micromilieu: Past, Present, and Future Perspectives. Hossam S. 13 Aug 2018 Common stimuli explored by stimuli-responsive polymers include endogenous [ e.g., reactive oxygen species (ROS), redox, pH, and enzymes] Purchase Stimuli Responsive Polymeric Nanocarriers for Drug Delivery Applications - 1st Edition. Stimuli-Responsive, Plasmonic Nanogel for Dual Delivery of
In this review, we discuss the potential of these nanocarriers for improved antibacterial drug delivery and highlight further research required to optimize their potential. Stimuli-responsive drug delivery systems (DDS) appear as a promising approach to control and target drug delivery. When these DDS are administered, the drug release is activated and then modulated through some action or external input and facilitated by the energy supplied externally.

12, 13 In this review, we will focus on the different stimuli‐responsive systems for diabetic therapeutic delivery, including pH‐responsive, glucose‐responsive, and external physical trigger 2019-06-14 · This chapter focuses on cyclodextrins and their derivatives as stimuli-responsive polymeric nanocarriers for drug delivery and biomedical applications. The responsive cyclodextrins are able to control drug release in response to either exogenous stimuli such as temperature, light intensity, and magnetic field or endogenous stimuli like pH, enzyme concentration, and oxidation-reduction potential. Stimuli-responsive drug delivery system prevents transplant rejection 13 August 2014 In a depiction of a hand transplant, researchers illustrate how injecting a hydrogel-drug combo beneath the skin molecular polymers and supramolecular pseudorotaxanes for stimuli-responsive drug delivery, which not only endow the delivery systems with flexible and robust attributes of non-covalent interactions but also meet the urgent need of human healthcare.18–20 Drug-delivery systems immobilized with supramolecular nanovalves, emerging as a Stimuli responsive drug delivery systems have emerged as one of the most innovative classes of polymer materials of modern materials science. The polymer architectures exhibiting a large change in their physico chemical behaviors in response to minor signals from the environments have fabricated pot Stimuli‑responsive drug delivery systems based on mesoporous silica nanoparticles Wong, Eddy Mun Fei 2018 Wong, E. Stimuli‑responsive drug Smart External Stimulus-Responsive Nanocarriers for Drug and Gene Delivery Authors Mahdi Karimi, Parham Sahandi Zangabad, Amir Ghasemi and Michael R Hamblin Published delivery systems activated by external remote triggers are also discussed. We conclude by discus-sing advantages and limitations of current strategies, as well as future opportunities and challenges in this area. KEYWORDS diabetes, drug delivery, insulin, stimuli-responsive 1 | INTRODUCTION c) Thermoresponsive drug delivery system: The use of temperature as a signal has been justified by the fact that the body temperature often deviates from the physiological temperature (37°C) in the presence of pathogens or pyrogens.

Microgels as Carriers for Antimicrobial Peptides: Surface
Herein, we synthesized a hypoxia-responsive azo bond-containing COF with nanoscale size and immobilized both photosensitizers chlorin e6 (Ce6) and hypoxia-activated drug tirapazamine (TPZ) into the COFs. When such a COF In this work, we report a smart stimuli-responsive drug delivery system (DDS) that can release drug depending upon the amount of pathogen (MRSA) present in the target. A greater amount of MRSA in the system will lead to more release of drug and vice versa. Adv Drug Deliv Rev. 2013 Nov;65(13-14):1699-715. doi: 10.1016/j.addr.2013.04.011. Epub 2013 Apr 20.
